Jess and Jamal discuss how attacks by Israeli Settlers on Palestinians in Jerusalem and Hebron receive hardly any coverage in US media, but an errant missile fired from Syria into Israel becomes headline news. They also talk about how former police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all counts for the murder of George Floyd, yet far right-media outlets cast doubt and characterize the verdict as not impartial.

Jamal interviews Dr. Rabab Abdulhadi, who has recently won the prestigious Georgina M. Smith Award from the American Association of University Professors. She discusses the significance of the award and the systematic attacks on her by hate groups.

Jess & Jamal discuss the brutal murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man, who was pinned down to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer, who had his knee on Floyd’s neck for about eight minutes. This murder was captured on video as Floyd pled with the officer, ”Please, please, please, I can’t breathe.”

Power, Money and the Politics of Fear

Jamal Dajani discusses with Dr. Rabab Abdulhadi the disappearance of Saudi dissident and journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the silence of the Trump Administration.

They also discuss the content of the new documents revealing that the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco (JCF) has been consistently funding far-right and anti-Muslim hate groups across the country as far back as 2003. With a 2017 budget of over $240 million, and assets totaling over $1 billion, the JCF funded these hate groups and agitators to the tune of more than 300 million dollars over the course of the years investigated.
