Jess & Jamal discuss the influence of National Security Adviser John Bolton within the Trump Administration to drag the US into war with Iran. Bolton has a history of abusing U.S. intelligence to justify his foreign-policy goals. Perhaps most notorious was a May 2002 speech at the Heritage Foundation, in which Bolton, then the State Department’s Under Secretary for arms-control issues, accused Cuba of developing biological weapons. Later on, Bolton helped sell the lie that Saddam Hussein was building nuclear weapons.

Jess and Jamal discuss President Trump’s replacement of H.R. McMaster with John Bolton as his new national security adviser. They breakdown Bolton’s militant rhetoric, hawkish positions and his backstabbing of his former boss Condoleezza Rice by providing Israeli officials with secret US decision-making at the UN. In her 2011 autobiography, Rice said she learned “several years later” that “Bolton had been sharing information with the Israelis through their U.N. ambassador without permission to do so.”
